Baseball Recap: Germantown Mavericks vs. Seminary Bulldogs
After only one run in their last matchup, Germantown made sure to put some runs up on the board against Seminary on Saturday. The Mavericks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 10-8. Considering the Mavericks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Jackson Estes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Ashton Smith was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Germantown's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Seminary, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-5.
Germantown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Terry on the 14th. As for Seminary, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Northeast Jones on the 14th.
