Adding to the longest winning streak in VI Section V (8 Man) this week, Gilbert Christian beat Gila Bend 54-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Knights.
Gilbert Christian took down the Gila Monsters 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Mesa Prep's Nick Staloch and Jackson Ventrella have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Staloch has thrown for 2,506 yards this season, while Ventrella has 63 catches for 1,093 yards. Larry Cain's team's Andrew Sherman leads the league in rushing yards with 1,402.
The MONSOONS's Paul Varner needs only 76 yards against Glendale Prep Academy next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 82 carries Varner has put up 924 yards this year.
