Another player making a difference was Evan Reiter, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Riverdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Leipsic didn't have quite enough to beat Van Buren on Wednesday and fell 6-4.
Leipsic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Schroeder, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Tyler Lammers was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Leipsic now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Riverdale, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Riverdale's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Falcons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game.
