Softball Recap: Sioux Falls Christian Victorious

Sioux Falls Christian proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 15) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lennox Orioles 3-1. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Orioles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jada Roskup looked comfortable as she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dehlia Doop-Blanchard was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Sioux Falls Christian pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Lennox, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sioux Falls Christian will square off against rival Elk Point-Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lennox is set to take on their familiar foe Parkston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
