Bossier had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it seven. They lost 20-10 to the Homer Pelicans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearkats of the 12-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Tre Lindsey put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Lindsey was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Jaylen James made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Brayden Cunningham was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
As for Homer, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.
On Homer's side, they let Kentrell Kimble and Paxton Prince run wild. Kimble went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Prince got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Homer is undefeated when Kimble posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Keland Shine, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs.
Bossier wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-1 loss against Converse on the 26th. As for Homer, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Calvary Baptist Academy on the 26th.
