Football Recap: Argyle Piles Up the Points Against Midlothian Heritage + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lone Star, Argyle was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars 35-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

A big part of Argyle's win came down to the chemistry between Maguire Gasperson and his top target Julian Caldwell. Gasperson threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt while Caldwell picked up 263 receiving yards and four TDs. Those 263 receiving yards gave Caldwell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Obadiah Goble, who rushed for 89 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Argyle's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.1 points over those games. As for Midlothian Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Argyle will be playing in front of their home fans against Mansfield Timberview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will take on Texas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
