Volleyball Recap: Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies vs. Stephen-Argyle Central Storm

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stephen-Argyle Central Storm. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo actually scored more points across those five sets (109-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 14-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Kenley Marquis paced Warren-Alvarado-Oslo's offense, picking up 13 kills. Marquis got some help from Olivia Winge and her 48 assists. Lola Linder controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Stephen-Argyle Central, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren-Alvarado-Oslo will head out to take on Red Lake County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stephen-Argyle Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
