Soccer Game Preview: Archimedean vs. Pinecrest Prep

Archimedean will face off against the Pinecrest Prep Crocs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Archimedean and Mater Lakes Academy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. 2026 welcomed Archimedean with a 5-0 loss courtesy of Mater Lakes Academy. Archimedean has struggled against Mater Lakes Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest Prep entered their tilt with Mater Brickell Academy on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bulls. Anthony Recinos had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Pinecrest Prep.

Archimedean's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Pinecrest Prep, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Archimedean suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pinecrest Prep in their previous matchup back in November of 2025. Can Archimedean avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
