Baseball Recap: Clay Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Clay's offense. They fell just short of the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for St. Augustine, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clay will face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.8, the Conquerors 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for St. Augustine, they will square off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
