Baseball Recap: Oakland Takes a Loss

Oakland fell victim to Brookings-Harbor and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Oakland and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Brookings-Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Oakland has already played their next matchup (against Coquille), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Brookings-Harbor, they will face off against Rogue River at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Bruins' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Chieftains have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
