Baseball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View lost against Liberty back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 10-5 to the Bison. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly five runs.

Jeremiah Dandridge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Nicholas Rivera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Valley View has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Liberty, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Valley View will head out on the road to square off against Arlington at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will be playing at home against Cornerstone Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
