Basketball Recap: Innovations International Comes Up Short

Innovations International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took an 83-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ambassadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-36 back in December of 2024.

Doral Academy Red Rock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paris Brown, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 22 points. Brown is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brennan Cuello, who posted 16 points.

Innovations International's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Innovations International will venture away from home to square off against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will head out to challenge The Meadows School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Meadows School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.8 points per game this season.
