Soccer Game Preview: Alamogordo vs. Organ Mountain

Alamogordo is 1-9 against Organ Mountain since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tigers will welcome the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Alamogordo has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Alamogordo is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Centennial on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 7-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Alamogordo were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, Organ Mountain faced Gadsden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The win was familiar territory for Organ Mountain, who have now won six matches in a row.

Organ Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Alamogordo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Alamogordo couldn't quite get it done against Organ Mountain in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 6-4. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
