            Softball Recap: Centralia Tigers vs. Black Hills Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Centralia had lost three straight at home, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-8-2 to make it four. They fell just short of the Black Hills Wolves by a score of  5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  7-5  last Monday.
As for Black Hills, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games.
For Black Hills' part,  Maddie Knight spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Makenna Oderman, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centralia is set to  take on  their familiar foe WF West  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Black Hills will  square off against  rival Tumwater  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
