Monument Valley extends home winning streak to four

The Monument Valley Cougars entered their tilt with the Red Mesa Redskins with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Monument Valley put the hurt on Red Mesa with a sharp 61-41 win on Tuesday. Monument Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Nevaeh Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. Another player making a difference was Shimequa Hudson, who scored ten points.

Monument Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Red Mesa, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Monument Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitehorse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehorse has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 295 points over their last four matches. Red Mesa on the road again on Friday and play against Fredonia at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Fredonia's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Red Mesa's offense will have their work cut out for them.
