Baseball Game Preview: Byron Bears vs. John Marshall Rockets

The Byron Bears will take on the John Marshall Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Byron is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lourdes just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered since May 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask John Marshall). They blew past Faribault 13-2 on Tuesday. The Rockets have beaten the Falcons the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

John Marshall got a massive performance out of Caden Endle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Endle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Muenkel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

John Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Byron, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
