Soccer Game Preview: Crockett vs. Silsbee

The Crockett Bulldogs will take on the Silsbee Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Crockett will be strutting in after a win while Silsbee will be coming in after a defeat.

Crockett barely beat Jasper the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Crockett's defense stepped up to hand Jasper a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Crockett, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Silsbee duked it out with Splendora on Thursday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for Silsbee in their meetings with Splendora: they've now lost seven in a row.

Silsbee's goal came courtesy of Jeremiah Read, who's now up to eight this season.

Silsbee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Crockett, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
