Volleyball Recap: Pike Road Takes a Loss

Pike Road lost against Bayside Academy back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Admirals. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mary Katherine Whitehurst went supernova For Bayside Academy., getting 20 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Whitehurst has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Julia Savage, who had eight digs.

Pike Road now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Bayside Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Pike Road will face off against Lee-Scott Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bayside Academy, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Spain Park at 4:00 p.m.
