Preview: Raymond Central Mustangs vs. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder
Raymond Central is 1-7 against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Raymond Central Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. Raymond Central is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Raymond Central lost to Centennial on the road by a decisive 45-31 margin. Raymond Central has not had much luck with Centennial recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tavion Johnson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Dubas, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder came up short against Arlington on Tuesday and fell 51-40.
Raymond Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Raymond Central couldn't quite finish off Logan View/Scribner-Snyder when the teams last played back in January of 2023 and fell 30-27. Can Raymond Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
