Basketball Recap: John Paul II Takes a Loss

John Paul II lost against George West back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The John Paul II Centurions fell just short of the George West Longhorns by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Centurions were not able to get on the board.

John Paul II is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17. As for George West, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-8 record.

John Paul II will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Christian School at Castle Hills at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for George West, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-37 win against Odem on the 30th.
