Baseball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Takes a Loss

Vista PEAK Prep couldn't beat Brighton on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Bison fell 13-10 to the Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Brody Brancato was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Domenic Montoya, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Vista PEAK Prep's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Brighton, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Vista PEAK Prep will take on Denver South at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bison's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
