Softball Recap: Morgantown Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington, Morgantown was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Wheeling Park Patriots get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Mohigans haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past MADISON WISMAN, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep Wheeling Park off the board. WISMAN has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

Morgantown's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Wheeling Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14.

Coming up, Morgantown will look to defend their home field on Monday against North Marion at 5:00 p.m. As for Wheeling Park, they will head out to square off against Weir at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
