Adriane Garza Delivers Best Effort of Season

Adriane Garza produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mitchell to the win on Friday. Garza rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Mitchell's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. Garza and Mitchell will take on Amherst at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hershey Gets a Boost from Hill in 38-30 Win

Rhodee Hill was a major factor in Hershey's win over Gordon-Rushville on Friday. Nobody could stop Hill as he made 21 total tackles (1.0 for loss). He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.

Gordon-Rushville's probably not too fond of Hill given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hill saw the Mustangs), he picked up 0.5 sacks and made 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Kyler Vincent Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Sadly, Kyler Vincent posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Gordon-Rushville over Hershey on Friday. Vincent rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

If the past is any indication, Vincent could be in store for another big game when he takes on Valentine on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Vincent saw the ), he rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

A Season-Best Effort from Jacob Bosshamer Leads Kearney Catholic over Mitchell

Kearney Catholic came up short on Friday despite Jacob Bosshamer delivering his best game to date. Bosshamer threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes.

Kearney Catholic's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. Bosshamer and Kearney Catholic will challenge Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sadly, Atreyu May posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Kearney Catholic over Mitchell on Friday. May picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards.

This season, May has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 40.1 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 0.57 receiving yards per game.
