Volleyball Recap: Hoover Falls to Valhalla in First Game of Season

Hoover had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Valhalla Norsemen, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Hoover was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22, 29-27.

Luke D'Alessio had a dynamite game for Valhalla, getting 22 digs.

Hoover will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on March 11th. As for Valhalla, they are taking a road trip to challenge Santana at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
