For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Marion and Halstead meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Dragons. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-8.

Kate Watkins paced Marion's offense, picking up three kills. Watkins got some help from Shaliah Ensley and her four assists.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Halstead, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Marion has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Central Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Halstead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Eureka on the 20th.
