Wood River is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Jerome, falling 71-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolverines have suffered against the Tigers since January 26, 2022.

Despite the defeat, Wood River saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tony Ambriz posted 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ambriz has scored all season. Eli Edwards was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Twin Falls came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Spartans.

Twin Falls has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Wood River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
