Softball Recap: Hunter-Tannersville Comes Up Short

Hunter-Tannersville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Gilboa-Conesville Central, falling 23-7. The defeat continues a trend for Hunter-Tannersville in their meetings with Gilboa-Conesville Central: they've now lost six in a row.

LILY CONSTABLE made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. ANGELINA DIXON was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Hunter-Tannersville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunter-Tannersville will head out to face off against Roxbury Central at 4:15 p.m. on May 7. As for Gilboa-Conesville Central, they will take on Charlotte Valley at 4:15 p.m. on May 8.
