Softball Recap: Bloom Blazing Trojan vs. Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Forest, Bloom was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves 14-0. Considering the Blazing Trojan's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Gabrielle Cowan was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aryana Knaack, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Bloom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thornton Fractional South only posted an OBP of .118.
