Recap: Vienna Eagles vs. Tipton Cardinals
It was a good run, but the Vienna Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 72-49 loss at the hands of Tipton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Vienna has scored all season.
Tipton found their leader in underclassman Dane Schlotzhauer, who scored 26 points along with two steals. Schlotzhauer continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Moon, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Vienna's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Tipton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Vienna will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bourbon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tipton, they will head out on the road to square off against Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
