Softball Recap: Carrizo Springs Takes a Loss

Carrizo Springs managed to slip by Somerset the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Carrizo Springs Wildcats lost 14-1 to the Somerset Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Carrizo Springs' loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Somerset, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-10 record.

Looking ahead, Carrizo Springs will challenge Pearsall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrizo Springs has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Somerset, they will be playing at home against Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
