The Cameron Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cameron is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Cameron and Valley, and Cameron kept the tradition alive. The Dragons put the hurt on the Lumberjacks with a sharp 12-2 win on Wednesday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Cameron let Kason Angel and Zayde Long run wild. Angel went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Long went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Long is becoming a predictor of Cameron's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 6-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Camden McCaulley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Cameron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Trinity Christian came out on top against Magnolia on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Warriors walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Blue Eagles.
Nathan Adams was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Cameron pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cameron has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Trinity Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Cameron suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Trinity Christian in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
