Preview: Randall Raiders vs. Hereford Whitefaces
Two dominant backs in Dylan Ray and Brylyn Lopez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Randall Raiders will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Hereford Whitefaces at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
After soaring to 49 points the game before, Randall were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were beaten by Canyon 48-7. Randall was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Hereford, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-13 loss to Canyon two weeks ago. It was the first time this season that Hereford let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Hereford had strong showings from Kalub Ramirez, who threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns, and Tell Bryant, who picked up 51 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Randall's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hereford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Randall came up short against Hereford in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 35-24. Thankfully for Randall, Zevan Gonzales (who picked up 193 receiving yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
