Softball Game Preview: Timber Creek Falcons vs. Keller Central Chargers

The Timber Creek Falcons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Keller Central Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Timber Creek is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If Timber Creek beats Keller Central with six runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Timber Creek came out on top against Midlothian by a score of 6-1 on Saturday.

Addisyn Inocencio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run every time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Katelyn Pegram was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Eliana Ortiz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, neither Keller Central nor Richland could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Timber Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-0. With that draw, Keller Central's record moves to 4-0-1.

Timber Creek skirted past Keller Central 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Timber Creek repeat their success, or does Keller Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
