Baseball Recap: Bolles Comes Up Short

Bolles was the 2-1 winner over Englewood when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 5-1 to the Rams on Thursday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bolles got a good showing from Jaxson Richter, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Richter gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Denzel Del Valle Delgado was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Bolles' defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Englewood, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8.

Bolles wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-4 victory against Middleburg on the 1st. As for Englewood, they have also already played their next match, a 6-2 win against Stanton on the 31st.
