Baseball Recap: University School of Jackson Comes Up Short at Home Against Jackson South Side

University School of Jackson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Jackson South Side Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Bruins have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

University School of Jackson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nash Kilburn, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University School of Jackson will square off against Gibson County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson South Side, they will venture away from home to take on Collierville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
