It was a good run, but Purvis unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the George County Rebels. The Tornadoes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Madyson Easley paced Purvis' offense, picking up ten kills. Easley got some help from Presley Long and her ten assists. Aubrey Easley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Purvis' loss dropped their record down to 27-5. As for George County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.

Purvis will head out on the road to square off against Northeast Jones at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Our Lady Academy on the 20th.
