            Baseball Preview: Westlake Wildcats vs. Blind Brook Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            The Westlake Wildcats will take on the Blind Brook Trojans at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Westlake will be strutting in after a  win while Blind Brook will be coming in after a  loss.
Westlake is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home  on Wednesday. They never let Hendrick Hudson get on the board and left with  an   11-0  victory.
 Mikey Sica made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Sica was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-1.

 In other batting news,  Keith Haecker was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  JT Finan, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Blind Brook fell victim to Pleasantville and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They came up short against  the Panthers, falling  9-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Trojans have suffered  against the Panthers since May 4, 2015.
  Jack Pastor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  double. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
 Westlake skirted past Blind Brook  5-4 in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
