Volleyball Game Preview: Timnath Cubs vs. University Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Timnath Cubs will head out to square off against the University Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Timnath took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Roosevelt. The Cubs haven't had any issues with the Roughriders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Roosevelt scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, University made easy work of Liberty Common on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8, 25-16.

University's win came from a few key players Timnath will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kenley Rudiger, who had seven aces, four digs, and one block. Rudiger is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 17 every time she's taken the court this season.

University was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Timnath's record is now 5-6. As for University, their record now sits at 8-1.

Timnath came up short against University when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Cubs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
