Volleyball Recap: Chisago Lakes Area Victorious

Chisago Lakes Area took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Big Lake, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hornets on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Hornets since October 3, 2019.

Chisago Lakes Area was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-8, 22-25, 25-15, 15-11.

Chisago Lakes Area found their leader in sophomore Kianna Osmundson, who had 18 assists and eight digs. Osmundson has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Chisago Lakes Area was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

Chisago Lakes Area's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. As for Big Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
