Basketball Recap: Valley Regional Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Valley Regional Warriors came up short against the Grasso Tech Eagles and fell 80-69. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grasso Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julius Washington, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Washington's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Gemaly, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and five boards.

Valley Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Grasso Tech, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Valley Regional will head out on the road to face off against Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grasso Tech, they will welcome Parish Hill at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
