Basketball Recap: Ramey Rhoades Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Grace Lutheran

Challis was handed a 26-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grace Lutheran Royals, sneaking past 52-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Challis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ramey Rhoades, who posted 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brayden Ollar, who had 13 points and seven boards.

Challis is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 6.5 assists in those games compared to only 6.5 in the others. As for Grace Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Challis will head out to face off against Mackay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Challis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. As for Grace Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
