Softball Recap: Union-Endicott Takes a Loss

Union-Endicott lost against Horseheads back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Blue Raiders, falling 12-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dominika Diaz was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Morgan Ashman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Union-Endicott's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Horseheads, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Union-Endicott will face off against Johnson City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Horseheads, they will head out on the road to challenge Elmira at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
