Softball Game Preview: Altamonte Christian Eagles vs. Orangewood Christian Rams

The Altamonte Christian Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Orangewood Christian Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Altamonte Christian lost 20-5 to Oasis Christian two weeks ago. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Aisling Bane was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeleigh Black, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Altamonte Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oasis Christian only posted a batting average of .250.

Orangewood Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over Lake Highland Prep. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rams' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Hadleigh Weis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Caroline Putt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Altamonte Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Orangewood Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Altamonte Christian might still be hurting after the 17-6 defeat they got from Orangewood Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Altamonte Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
