Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Catholic Comes Up Short

Charlotte Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Covenant Day Lions, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-10.

Maggie Shannon went supernova For Covenant Day., getting five digs and five aces. That's the most aces Shannon has posted over her last seven matches. Charlotte Hall also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Charlotte Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Covenant Day, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Charlotte Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Weddington on the 18th. As for Covenant Day, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Ambassador Christian School on the 20th.
