Baseball Recap: Georgetown Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Georgetown proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Waccamaw Warriors, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Bo Moody spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Georgetown now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Waccamaw, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Georgetown will have a chance to go back-to-back against Waccamaw: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
