Softball Recap: Frederick Douglass Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Lafayette

Frederick Douglass faced Lafayette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Broncos took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Generals earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Frederick Douglass has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-10 record this season. As for Lafayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Frederick Douglass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lafayette, they will square off against Great Crossing at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
