Basketball Game Preview: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Norton Lancers

Bellingham hasn't had much luck against Norton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bellingham Blackhawks just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Norton Lancers at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Bellingham beats Norton with 53 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Bellingham breezed by Randolph to the tune of 53-25 on Thursday. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 194th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Norton entered their tilt with Westwood on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 48-41.

Bellingham pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Norton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Bellingham was able to grind out a solid win over Norton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 62-53. Does Bellingham have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
