Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Bluffs Wildcats vs. Mead Raiders

Cedar Bluffs hasn't had much luck against Mead recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cedar Bluffs Wildcats will welcome the Mead Raiders at 7:30 p.m.

Cedar Bluffs is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 59-29 loss at the hands of Shelby-Rising City.

Meanwhile, everything went Mead's way against Palmyra on Friday as Mead made off with a 46-22 victory. The 46-point effort marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Cedar Bluffs better keep an eye on Tytus R Lee. He was instrumental in Mead's win, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, R Lee is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Brady Gartner, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Mead smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Mead's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cedar Bluffs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Cedar Bluffs was taken down by Mead 56-9 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cedar Bluffs was down 39-9.
