Volleyball Recap: River Ridge Takes a Loss

River Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Polo Marcos. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Marcos from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

AVA KETELSEN paced River Ridge's offense, picking up five kills. KETELSEN got some help from GRACIE SCHNITZLER and her six assists. Finally, KACI PATTERSON kept River Ridge's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Polo had a senior duo take command as Grace Miatke had 11 digs and four aces and Camrynn Jones had five kills and three digs. Jones has been hot recently, having posted five or more kills the last four times she's played.

River Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Polo, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coincidentally, River Ridge and Polo will both be playing Pearl City the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Wolves at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Marcos will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
