Basketball Game Preview: Chester County Eagles vs. Lexington Tigers

Chester County and Lexington are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Chester County Eagles will host the Lexington Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Chester County came up short against Hardin County and fell 56-43. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 59-33 to Jackson South Side. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Hawks are ranked 30th).

Chester County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lexington, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.

Everything came up roses for Chester County against Lexington in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 59-28 win. Does Chester County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lexington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
